The 23 Things

BCL? Go to Broward County’s 23 Things.

Listed below are over 23 Things (or small exercises) that you can do on the web to explore and expand your knowledge of the Internet and Web 2.0. NSU staff are encouraged to complete the exercises on the list each week in order to qualify to win one of the weekly rewards. Those staff that complete and record all 23 items by November 8th will also qualify for the Grand Prize drawing and other prizes that will be awarded at TLC 2.0 Wrap up party on November 15th.

For those who just can’t get enough, we’ve added a few bonus things ;-)

Note: Details about each task will be activated every week with posts related to each item. The release date next to each week represents the date on which the exercises will be activated. The due date for each week represents the date you must complete your tasks by if you want to qualify for the weekly incentives.

12/14/2007 UPDATE Attention NSU Community: While the NSU Libraries staff have completed the Learning Challenge, other members of the NSU community are welcome to complete the 23 Things.   We cannot offer you any incentives, but we encourage you to learn about these Web 2.0 tools. Work together with your colleagues and departments to explore. Many of the exercises have a library related theme, but you can substitute ‘library’ for any department or area you work in whether it be human resources, student affairs, information technology, student engagement, or alumni relations.  Ask yourself how some of these tools could (or could not) be incorporated into your work, your departmental mission and goals, events and programs, or your personal life. Explore. Learn. Play. Have Fun!  Please direct questions to Carrie Gits gits@nova.edu x4666.
