Thanks

Valentina May 8th, 2007

This program was originally developed by Helene Blowers of the Public Library of Charlotte and Mecklenburg County and launched for the PLCMC staff in August 2006. A total of 352 PLCMC participants created blogs and many additional guests joined in. Since the program’s launch, the exercises here have helped many other library systems worldwide develop programs of their own (list of libraries doing Learning 2.0).

A special thanks to Helene Blowers for allowing us to duplicate this program and modify it to fit the needs of the NSU Libraries under the Creative Commons license.

Thanks also to Michael Perlman for sharing cool code to enhance this blog.

The NSU Libraries TLC 2.0 project came together with the support of the NSU Libraries Executive Council and the dedicated and talented TLC 2.0 task force. The task force members include Rich Ackerman, Valentina Mayz, Jim Hutchens, LeThesha Harris, Jaime Goldman, Desman Ford, Tanya White, Daphnee Sainvil, Robin Kear, Meg Kribble, and Carrie Gits.

This whole 23 things experience were fun and useful since I work in the Computer Center at the NOR Library.
    Thank you!

After reading the thank you page, I learned that someone else created library 2.0 back in 2006. I’m glad you received permission to use and then alter the Public Library of Charlotte and Mecklenburg County’s TLC 2.0.
I am pleased you were able to contact their staff. This is networking at its best. The 23 things was indeed a great experience.
