Just a reminder: The library will be closed Thursday, Nov. 26, and Friday, Nov. 27, for the Thanksgiving holiday. Teen Volunteers, do not come in to volunteer during those days since the library will be closed. The library will reopen on Saturday, with its normal hours.

Hey Teen Volunteers!

We need your help on Sunday, November 22, from 12:30 pm to 3:30 pm for the “American History Comes to Life” and “American Girl Tea Party” programs for children. You will get double hours for helping out! Please email novalibraryvolunteers@yahoo.com the times you want to come in so we know who to expect.

Nov. 22 – TAB Meeting, 11 am. All TAB members and Teen Room Hosts should attend. We need to discuss the upcoming Expressions Cafe: Open Mike Night and get a head start planning next year’s big teen events! Also, stay after the meeting to earn double hours helping out with our children events.

Nov. 20 – Romance Readers Teen Book Club, 5:30 to 6 pm, for ages 14-17. This month’s pick is If You Come Softly by Jacqueline Woodson. Jeremiah and Ellie felt an immediate connection the moment they met. The fact that Jeremiah is black and Ellie is Jewish did not matter to them. It’s a shame that everyone else seems to feel differently.

Nov. 16 – Manga Club, 5:30 to 6 pm, for ages 14-17. Come discuss your favorite shōnen and shōjo at our first meeting. If you are not already a fellow Otaku (fan of manga), then stop by anyway to learn what is so cool about Japanese comics!
